All questions can make use of illustrative media in the heading. You can use the following media:
- Image (supported formats: *.jpg, *.gif, *.png)
- Embed code (ie. embed code from Youtube to show a video). iframe must be added to the embed code.
Within the Questions options, select the Main illustration drop-down. The default is set to None. Choose either Image or Embed code.
While the player will resize images for candidates, larger images take longer to load. Scaling the image before adding it is recommended; a width of around 800 pixels is generally a good practice.
Note that Inspera does not change or verify the embedded content, and we recommend Authors verify that the embedded content displays as expected in the browsers to be used by the candidates.
Make sure to add iframe to the embed code. On lockdown tests using SEB or IIB, embedded code from Youtube works, but videos from other places (eg. Vimeo) may not. You should open the test in SEB as a candidate to ensure the video plays as expected.
-
Attach a PDF file. The PDF will not be visible in question edit mode, please preview your question to ensure it is displayed correctly. The PDF will be shown to the left of the question, and the candidate can resize the panel.
To learn more about attaching PDF files, visit our Help Center article How to Attach PDF Documents to Questions.

Use labels to tag your questions with, for example, specific subjects, to aid in sorting and filtering within the Question Bank.
