These columns can be edited from the menu Edit columns. It is also possible to make your own filters by choosing the menu Show filters and search.

The question view window gives you the opportunity to browse the questions from the specified candidate. You can also view and write highlights, annotations and page notes

  3. The explanation panel

When you select a candidate in the candidate list you will be able to see who can edit the explanation, when it can be sent, and the request status of the explanation. If there is a written explanation, you will be able to read it in the field below.

Administrated explanations: How it affect the workspace for Planners

In Inspera, we distinguish between administrated explanations and non-administrated explanations. This distinction is critical because it dictates how the Planner will interact with the Explanations workspaces described in this article.

The core functionality for explanations (writing and viewing) is available to everyone. However, administrated explanations is an additional, optional feature set up in the test settings. When activated, the Planner can centrally manage the process by requesting explanations on behalf of candidates, seeing explanation statuses, and sending them out.

The availability and function of the Explanations workspaces below will change based on whether this administrative feature is enabled for the test.

Administration of explanations is set up in the test settings

Planners - Administration of explanations

In the explanation panel, the Planner can request explanations on behalf of the candidate, or cancel a request if needed.

In addition the Planner can send the explanation from the same place, the send button will be activated when all prerequisites to send an explanation have been met.

For more information, see the guide for Planners.

The Planner cannot send explanations if the test is not set up to use administration of explanations. In this case, the Grader is responsible for writing and sending explanations.
