Turnitin is a an anti-plagiarism tool that provides Similarity reports for submitted files. If you already use this system, you can use the integration that Inspera offers. If you do not currently use an anti-plagiarism tool, Inspera offers Inspera Originality.
You can request Similarity reports for all supported question types submitted by candidates or directly within Inspera's grading tool. Similarity reports are available for the following Manually marked question types:
TurnItIn will accept any file that is less that 100MB, has a minimum of 20 words, and is less than 800 pages.
Request Similarity report as a Planner
As the Planner of a test, you can request Similarity reports to be generated for all candidate submissions on a test. This is done in the test setup phase, and the reports will be ready for the Grader(s) once they start grading.
- Go to the Deliver module and create/select a test.
- In the test setup under Options, go to General settings and enable Marking 2.0.

Go to Security settings and click Request Similarity report.
It will take up to 15 minutes after the test closes before a similarity report is published.
Request Similarity report as a Grader
If the Planner does not request a Similarity report in the test settings, no reports will be available when opening the Similarity tab.
To request a Similarity report:
- Go to the Marking workspace.
- Select the Similarity tab.

Click Request report.
Note: It will take up to 15 minutes after the test closes before a similarity report is published.
View Similarity reports in Marking 2.0
This is available for Planners and Graders.
You can view similarity report scores within the Marking and Overview workspace.

- Once the test is closed, go to the Marking workspace.
- Select the candidate you want to preview the Similarity reports for.

Select the Similarity tab.

- Once the test is closed, go to the Overview workspace.

Click a score underneath the Similarity column to view an individual candidate's similarity report.
Turnitin viewer settings
Similarity results will be viewable on the right-hand panel.
- Click Flags to review flagged information such as hidden text.
- Click Overall Similarity to review the sources overview.
- Click Settings to Exclude search repositories and Exclude from Similarity Report.
- Click Help for a tour of the workspace and to display the Paper ID.
- Click Document Details to review information about the document file.
