Introduction

For the integration between Inspera Originality and Inspera Assessment, you can configure Originality settings directly within the Inspera Assessment interface. These settings determine how the tool analyzes submissions for originality and are divided into two categories: Assignment Level Settings and Additional Settings.

The available settings for Inspera Originality within the Integration with Inspera Assessment apply only to Essay and File Upload question types

1. Available Integration Settings

1.1 Assignment Level Settings

Translation Similarity 

Users can enable the translation similarity capability and select a maximum of 3 languages for this analysis. 

Contextual Similarity 

Users can enable the contextual similarity analysis and define a percentage threshold for the analysis based on their needs. 

AI Authorship Prediction

Users can enable the AI authorship prediction feature to determine the likelihood of text potentially generated by AI. 

1.2 Additional Settings

Exclude Citations

Enable to exclude properly cited text from the Originality Report, redirecting focus to potential originality issues.

Excluded Source Criteria 

Define the percentage at which matching sources are not included in the Originality Report. E.g., setting the excluded source criteria at 5% will actively exclude source between 5% and lower from the Originality Report.

Include URLs

Specify sources to check against for potential originality issues. 

Exclude URLs

Specify sources to not check against for potential originality issues. 

Archive Document

Enable the Archive Document option to save the document in the internal repository for future collusion-checking.

Share Originality Report with Candidates

This option defines if and when the Originality Report is shared with the corresponding candidates. If it's unchecked the reports will not be shared. If it's checked, it's possible to define when it will be shared. As of now, the only option is to share it as soon as Marking is confirmed.
The reports can only be shared if the Candidate Report is enabled. The candidates will see the report in view mode.This setting can be modified at any moment: before/after activation, before/after marking as long as the report was requested before activating the test.
