Setup and preparations for a test with Inspera Docs

  • Updated

This is available for Planners.

Introduction: Inspera Docs supports paper answers with digital assessment and lets you upload scanned answer sheets that include unique question codes used to automatically allocate the sheets to candidate submissions.

This article explains how to enable Inspera Docs on a test, and the preparations that need to be done before the assessment, both in Inspera and the assessment facilities.

This feature requires an additional licence. Please contact your Account Manager for more information and pricing.

Setup Inspera Docs on a test

Start by activating Inspera Docs on the test. This should be done before the test is activated, as the question codes required will not be accessible by the candidates if they have already started the test before the Planner activates the functionality. If it is enabled at a later point the candidates will need to log out of the test and back in to access the codes.

  1. Go to Deliver, and select a test or create a new test.
  2. Navigate to Exam Day under the test settings.
  3. Click Enable Sketches (Inspera Docs).
  4. Click Lock submissions when grading starts

Lock submissions when grading starts:

The grading starts when a Grader assigns a mark or a grade. The purpose of this setting is to prevent sheets from being added to candidates that have already been graded. The setting can be toggled at any time, so if any changes occur, Planners can go back into the test settings to modify this option.

Preparations in the exam facilities

Hand out the required amount of sheets to the candidates. The sheets can be downloaded and printed via Prepare Inspera Docs Sheets
