This is available for Graders.
The explanation of grades feature makes it possible to record explanations of final grade to candidates. This article wil explain how to record the explanation, important notes on the feature and candidates experoience.
Important notes on the feature
The explanations are not private to you. When a Grader creates or updates an explanation, the Grader's name and the time of last change will be added, and visible to all Graders. When an audio recording is added it will not automatically be visible for co-graders if they are already viewing the explanation, but a page refresh will make it visible.
You can add multiple recordings to the same explanation. You can also make several recordings, listen to them, and delete the ones you do not want to include. (Note that recordings may be sorted by title, not by the date they were added.)
You can provide an explanation using both written text and an audio recording at the same time. Audio recordings and attachments are not time stamped, only updates to the written explanation will have a time stamp.
Before you send explanations to candidates:
- Remember that you are sending the explanation on behalf of all Graders.
- The explanation will not be shared with the candidate until you click Send.
- Explanations can only be sent once.
- Once shared, explanations cannot be withdrawn, edited, or deleted.
