Inspera Assessment
Improvements:
Pull and Candidate Selected Questions will now be Disabled if a section has Mandatory Questions
Pull/Candidate Selected questions are not supported in combination with Mandatory questions. We have made changes within the author module to prevent users creating unsupported content by combining these features.
If a section contains Mandatory questions, information is displayed on section level that Pull/Candidate Selected questions are not supported. This info should only be directly visible in the section overview if Pull/Candidate Selected questions had previously been enabled.
We have recaptioned the Quit Safe Exam Browser button in Candidate Dashboard to ‘Quit Session’.
The button has been renamed from ‘Quite Safe Exam Browser’ to ‘Quit Session’ so that it is independent of Safe Exam Browser (SEB) or Inspera Integrity Browser (IIB). This button will only appear during an assessment where either SEB or IIB is required.
Grading Scale automatically selected in Inspera for FS tests
When an educator creates a test in FS, they then define the grading scale. When the corresponding test is created in Inspera, it will now automatically select the corresponding IA grading scale. This "corresponding grading scale" is defined by a mapping table that says which IA grading scale corresponds to the FS grading scale.
If this mapping is used, and the grading scale is automatically defined in IA, this will not be editable in IA. If the educators want to change the grading scale this will need to be changed in FS. For more information, see our FS Exam API Help Center page.

Improvements:
ID Verification Caption Changes in Deliver
We have changed the existing on-screen captions in the deliver module that relate to ID verification as part of a proctored session. Previously, the ‘Disabled’ caption referred to the non-automated flag in Monitor. That reference has been removed.
The new text reads as follows. We have changed the existing captions in ID verification to avoid confusion with an entirely different ID check feature. The new text reads as follows:
Disabled - Candidates will not be prompted to photograph their ID
Automated ID - Candidates will be prompted to photograph their ID. If their face does not match their ID 90% or higher they will not be able to enter the test. For more information, see our Inspera Resilience Proctoring Help Center page.
Inspera Originality
What’s New?
Pangram now powers our AI prediction model
We are very excited to announce that our strategic partnership with Pangram is now live within the Inspera Originality platform. What makes this partnership so impactful is Pangram’s attention to accuracy. Going forward, when AI prediction is enabled, our IO customers will benefit from Pangram's market leading AI text detection model within Inspera Originality.
Pangram is seamlessly integrated into Inspera Originality, and customers can tell if Pangram is in use via the “powered by Pangram” text with the AI prediction UI. New features include AI authorship insights, AI score and human score indicators. Highlighted sections come with a ‘flagged AI segment’ indicator, as well as an AI confidence score for educators to use when they make their judgements.
Improvements:
Same-subject similarity will not happen and will be an institutional settings
We have added a toggle that allows institutions to turn off self plagiarism. If two documents are uploaded by one student within one subject, they will no longer be flagged for self plagiarism. In this example, subjects would be courses in Moodle or Canvas. This feature requires activation. To activate this feature, please reach out to the Service Desk.
Excluded sentences will appear in the Offline Report
Previously, if a sentence was excluded within the IO report it would not be available in the offline report. Going forward, everything excluded will appear highlighted in grey in the offline report.
Added a Reset button on the Originality Report
We have added a button that resets the report to the initial state, as it was when generated. This removes previously selected exclusions.
Administrator List visible to other Admins
Administrators could previously see educators and students, but can now also see administrators. They cannot edit or delete other admins, but can see them on the administrator list.
Users can see the “Test environment” label when in testing institutions
We have added a test environment label when an institution is in a test environment.
Icelandic UI is now available in the user interface.
High similarity sorting capability in the submissions page.
Users can now sort submissions by originality index or risk index. A sorting icon has been added next to the Originality Index for easy sorting by highest to lowest, or lowest to highest.
Moodle Plugin - Generate all reports for an assignment
When going to the submissions page, at the top right corner there will now be a button to generate missing reports. This will generate all the reports that were not yet generated either because they were not sent to IO or ended up in an error. Access to this button is configured in Moodle's role permissions.
Moodle Plugin - Warning added for Online Submission and Group Submission Conflict
Students can submit by either uploading a file or writing a text directly in Moodle, but IO does not support online submissions with group submissions. We have now added a warning when an educator configures the plugin in a test with group submissions and online submissions to better highlight this issue.
Fixes:
Submissions belonging to deleted assignments are no longer listed.
The submissions management page was listing submissions belonging to deleted assignments, causing issues when exporting to csv or xlsx. Submissions belonging to deleted assignments are no longer listed.
Moodle Plugin - Identify all Authors in IO in Group Submissions
Previously, when uploading a group submission, only the student that submitted in Moodle would be marked as the author in IO, while in Moodle the score and report were associated to all the students in the group. This could lead to issues in cross or self plagiarism checks in the future. Now all the students in the group are defined as authors in IO as well, eliminating that problem.
