Inspera Assessment

Improved Access Control for Inspera Docs

You now have a choice as to whether Planners in Inspera can access all assessments when using Inspera Docs. By default, a Planner using the Docs capability is given access to all assessments. If you do not want this because of security or data privacy reasons, you can restrict a Planner's ability to use Inspera Docs to just the assessments they have been given explicit access to.

The setting for Improved Access Control for Inspera Docs will be visible in Tenant Configurations.

New Notification for Candidate After Test Access

Previously, we removed the checkbox to control if the candidate had access to the correct answers or not and introduced three options that control the information they can access: questions and answers, correct answers and marks or only marks. However, we had not removed the notification that was triggered by the old setting and we didn't introduce one to be triggered by the new one.

As of this release, that oversight has been corrected. The old notification is no longer available and we added a new notification "Changed Candidate Submission Access Level" which is disabled by default.

Important: Users that had enabled the old one need to manually enable the new one.

Psychometrics Dashboard - Test Level Review Report

We are pleased to announce the availability of the new Inspera psychometrics dashboard. In order to enable the dashboard, you need to have item banks and custom user roles enabled. It's only content that is in item banks with CTT metrics enabled that will show up on the dashboard.

If you do not have CTT and item banks enabled, and items in a bank, we will not be able to activate the dashboard. For more information, please contact your Account Manager.

Test Review dashboard (psychometrics dashboard) is now part of the Report tab that surfaces Classical Test Theory (CTT) metrics for tests created from item banks with CTT statistics enabled.

Users with access to an Item Bank test will see a Test review report status column in the Report tab, indicating whether metrics are being calculated, available, or failed. Clicking through opens a dashboard with interactive charts containing Test-level metrics, Score distribution, Question type breakdown, Item/interaction analysis etc. Users will also get the option to save the dashboard as a pdf and export the data directly from the dashboard.

Early Access

A reminder of our Early Access Programmes. Early Access allows you to try out new capabilities before they enter General Release. They can only be activated on a test tenancy and can not be used on real assessments.

To participate in an Early Access Programme, please contact your Account Manager directly.

These programmes are not handled by our Service Desk.

Grading Workflows - Early Access

Grading Workflows continues to develop and grow in Early Access.

Grading Workflows allow customers to design their own unique workflow, ensuring that submissions will be allocated to the relevant graders / moderators as required. The ultimate goal is for Grading Workflows to handle all workflows, removing the need for spreadsheets. Grading Workflows also comes with a new Grader and Group allocation UI as well as a new progress dashboard so Planners can get a true overview of how grading is progressing.

With August's release we introduce the new "Allocate by Question" interface, as well as the new phase-level CSV download which provides a full audit trail of what happened in each phase. This includes the Phase name, Candidate ID, Group name, Grader name, Grader username, Total Score, Resolved Score, Provisional Grade, Rule Condition Met, Next Phase and for every question in the test, the question test and marks awarded.

Grading Workflows is an enormous and ongoing piece of work that involves changing some existing Inspera functionality. This is still a work in progress, but in the coming months we will continue to polish and add new functionality.

To get involved, provide feedback and map Grading Workflows to your institutional approach, contact your account manager.
