This functionality is available to Planners
Create a new Grading Workflow
- In the Grading Workflows space, select Add workflow
- Give the workflow a name. This is the name that will be searchable when adding the workflow to a test
- Add a description. This is optional.
- Click Save
Creating the Phases
As a Grading Workflow is made up of phases that link together, it is advisable to create all required phases first before inputting their individual settings. This way, you will be able to link each phase as you edit them rather than having to select To Be Decided and make the link later.
To create a phase:
- Select + Add phase
- Name the phase.
- Repeat this process until you have created the number of phases required.
This name will be editable. This name will be displayed in the Workflow, the Progress Dashboard and to Graders so they know the phase they are working in.
Reordering Phases
Phases are displayed in the order they are created but can be reordered to help with organisation as well as the order they appear in the Progress Dashboard.
- Click … next to + Add phase
- Select Reorder phases
- Drag and drop the phases. Their top to bottom order will be reflected in the Workflow Builder as their tab order, left to right.
The display order of phases has no bearing on the phase-by-phase flow of the Grading Workflow itself. It only changes the tab order and the order the phases appear in the Progress Dashboard.
Skip for Now
Each setting in each step of the Workflow has the option to ‘Skip for now’. Use this functionality if settings can change from test to test and therefore should not yet be set. When the workflow is attached to a test, these skipped settings will be flagged with a warning icon to signal to the Planner that it is incomplete and must now be filled in. All settings that have been set to ‘Skip for now’ must be completed before a phase can be opened.
