This is available for Planners and Graders.

In the Marking workspace, Planners and Graders can view a candidate's submission through a series of tabs. These tabs allow you to preview the submission, see the original question, view attachments, and check originality reports. They can also be accessed in a dropdown menu in the Exaplanations workspace.

This article gives an overview of the Submission, Question, Attachment, and Originality Index tabs.

Submission tab

In the Submission tab, you can preview the candidate's submitted answer. On automatically marked questions, you can see what the candidate has answered, as well as the result. On manually marked questions you only see the submitted answer.

In the Submission tab you can also change the settings to show (or hide) the question text, and see written comments or annotations on the canidates answer.

1. By default, only the answer is visible in this tab, which means the question itself is not visible. However, you can click Show question text in answer tab in the upper right corner to see both the question and answer together. 

   

   The setting to show or hide the question text remains as you move between different questions or candidates. However, if you exit the Grade module, or log out of Inspera, the setting will return to default, which is to hide the question text.

2. See and write comments and annotations

   The speech bubble icon show whether a question or a candidate's answer has annotations or comments. The number indicates how many annotations that has been written. 

   To view the annotations, click the speech bubble icon, and then the right arrow.

Question tab

In the Question tab, you can view the question exactly as the candidate saw it. What else is visible depends on the type of question. 

For manually marked questions only the question is visible in the tab.

For automatically marked questions the following is visible in the tab:

• The question
• The answer alternatives (if applicable)
• The correct answer (marked with green text or green checkmark)
• The candidate's result (not necessarily the candidate's answer)

Attachment tab

In the Attachment tab, you can see any attachments to the submission. If there is no attachment the tab will not be available.

If an attachment is attached to a candidate submission, it will be visible under the attachment tab for each question in the test for that particular candidate. Even if you move to the next question via the footer, the attachment will still be visible on the candidate.

Similarity tab

In the Similarity tab, you can view or order similarity reports. This feature requires activation and a separate agreement with a provider of anti-similarity reports (usually Urkund).
