Inspera Assessment provides the option to move questions and question sets to Trash, allowing you to organize and clean up your content within the question bank.
This article explains what it means to move items to Trash, outlines important notes regarding content usage, details the steps to move items, and clarifies how shared items are handled during this process.
Important notes on the trash functionality
- When questions or question sets are moved to Trash, they are only hidden from your active view; they are never permanently deleted from the system. No one can permanently delete items from Trash; they can only be restored. This ensures a safety net for your content.
- If content (a question or question set) that is currently being used in a test is placed in the Trash, the ongoing test will not be affected. The content will continue to function normally within that test.
How to move items to trash
- Go to the Author module and select Questions or Question Sets, depending on what type of item you want to move to the trash.
- Click on the specific question(s) or question set(s) that you want to move to the Trash from the displayed list.
In the action banner at the bottom of the page, select Move to Trash,
or select Move to Trash from the More option next to the question/question set.
- After selecting Move to Trash, you will be asked to confirm that you want to move the item to the Trash. Confirm your action.
Handling shared items when moving to trash
If the questions or question sets you are attempting to move to Trash are shared with other users, you will receive a specific message to inform you of this. This is a warning to ensure you are aware that other users might still be utilizing the shared content.
