This is available for Planners.

This is an additional setting in Inspera Assessment that allows the Planner to quickly close a test directly from the Grade module. The purpose of this feature is to ease the workflow for Planners who manage their tests end-to-end. Although the same action can be achieved by editing the test end time in the Deliver module, this shortcut is easier to use.

From Marking 2.0

1. Click the Close now button on the top right of the header.

or

1. Click the Options menu in the top right of the header
2. Under Worklfow, select Close test to start marking

From Classic marking

1. Click the button Close now and start grading

The system will inform you if candidates have not yet submitted as in the image below. You can still close the test and begin grading, even if there are candidates who have not submitted.

What happens when the button is clicked?

When you click the button, the test end time is immediately set to the current time.

• Any candidates who are still in progress will be unable to edit their answers further. 
• They will be redirected to the submission page, where they can finalize and submit their test.

Undoing the action 

If you clicked the button by mistake, you can undo the change and return to the original schedule. 

• This can only be done it grading has not yet started on the test. Meaning no Graders have added marks or grades on the test.
• To undo the action, go to Deliver and click Modify under Test end time to change the test end time.
