Installation of InsperaScan 2.0

InsperaScan is Inspera's software for scanning of sketches after the test is finished. The software makes it easy to scan sketches in both colour, and black and white, preview the scanned pages, and register scantron codes retroactively.

This article guides you through how to install InsperaScan 2.0, and the minimum requirements.

Installation

Step 1: Download the software

Note: You do not need to connect the scanner at this point. 

  1. Download the software through the URL which you have received from Inspera. If you have not received the URL, contact Service Desk or your Inspera contact.
  2. Unzip the file. The zip-file contains three folders and files:
    • Redist (folder)
    • InsperaScanImgSetup
    • Setup
  3. You only need to use the setup file.

Step 2: Install the InsperaScan driver

  1. Open the setup file in the folder, and select Yes on the following message:

  2. Follow the instructions on the screen, and install the driver.

Step 3: Open the program and enter customer details

  1. Return to the folder that you unzipped. 
  2. Run the setup file again.
  3. Press Next on the window that pops up.

  4. Add customer information and serial number, and follow the instructions. If you have not received the serial number, contact Service Desk or your Inspera contact.

  5. Fill in your email and click Request Activation Key.

  6. You will receive an email with the activation key within 24 hours from

    <administrador@cadasistemas.e.telefonica.net>

  7. Enter the activation key and click Validate Activation Key.
  8. When the installation is complete, you can open InsperaScan. 

    • The first time you open InsperaScan, you should see a screen similar to the one shown below. It is mainly blank because you have not selected any parameters or options yet.

Minimum requirements for installation

  • PC Hardware
    • Pentium® processor: 1 GHz 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) minimum
    • System memory: 1 GB minimum
    • Hard drive space: 40 GB hard drive with at least 15 GB of available space
    • Monitor at 1024 x 768 or higher resolution
    • USB 3.0 connection 
  • Operating systems
    • Windows 10 or 11 (32-bit or 64-bit)
    • Please be aware that InsperaScan is not compatible with MacOS.
  • Scanner requirements
    • 200 dpi
    • Colors
    • Automatic feeder (scanned sketches that are not skewed)
    • Twain Driver
