Candidate actions in Monitor

Monitor actions

Users with extended access will have all of these actions available. 

Note: This article describes all available actions regardless of user role. The list might not be complete as actions can be linked to spesific functionality. These actions will be explained in relevant articles for the functionality.


1. Always available actions

  • Publishing restrictions
    • Note that this has no real impact other than a date set, which is used by 3rd party integrations to determine when a thesis can be published.
    • Value is included in API output
    • Field can be used for other purposes but has no functionality attached
  • Request explanation/cancel request
    • Only if administration of explanations are activated

2. Before test is activated (all candidates inactive)

  • Enable/disable spell checker
  • Delete Candidate
    • Only applicable to Inspera Assessment tests
  • Add/subtract planned extra time
  • Flag/unflag
  • Publishing restrictions

 

3. After activation and during assessment

3.1 Inactive candidates

  • Send message
  • Enable/disable spell checker
  • Attach file
    • Automatically sets candidate status to Submitted
  • Delete Candidate
    • Only applicable to Inspera Assessment tests
  • Add/subtract planned extra time
  • Add/subtract Incident extra time
  • Exempt from lockdown
  • Set attending/not attending
  • Flag/unflag
  • Set ID confirmed/rejected
  • Upload submission
    • Automatically sets candidate status to Submitted

 

3.2 Candidates in progress

  • Pause/unpause
  • Send message
  • Enable/disable spell checker
  • Add/subtract Incident extra time
  • Exempt from lockdown
  • Set attending/not attending
  • Flag/unflag
  • Set ID confirmed/rejected
  • Upload submission
    • Automatically sets candidate status to Submitted



3.3 Submitted candidates

  • Open/close for resubmission
  • Send message
  • Attach file
  • View submission
  • Download and print
  • Set attending/not attending
  • Flag/unflag
  • Set ID confirmed/rejected
  • View results
    • Test must be ready for grading
  • Edit explanation
    • Applies to graders only


4. After test ends

4.1 Submitted candidates

  • Open/close for resubmission
  • Send message
  • Attach file
  • View submission
  • Download and print
  • Set attending/not attending
  • Flag/unflag
  • Set ID confirmed/rejected
  • View results
    • Test must be ready for grading
  • Edit explanation
    • Applies to graders only
