Create a candidate or event widget on your Dashboard

Candidate and Event widgets are private, customizable tools that display real-time information on your Dashboard. These widgets continuously update with results from a saved search query, making it easy to track candidates or system events. 

This article details how to create and manage the Candidate Widget and the Event Widget.

Candidate widget

Available for Planner, Chief Invigilator, Invigilator, Grader, Administrator.

A Candidate Widget is a saved search from the Monitor module and gives a quick overview of candidate status. This is displayed in Dashboard and each candidate widget updates continuously with the number of hits within Monitor search query.

Create a Candidate widget

  1. Go to the Monitor module and find the specific group of candidates you want by entering a search query or applying filters for time, progress, warnings, or properties.
  2. When you have found the spesific group of candidates you want to monitor, click the Views menu (hamburger icon) in the top right corner and select Save as view.
  3. Name the widget and click Save

  4. The live widget is saved to your Dashboard. The number indicates the number of candidates currently matching the filter.

  5. It is possible to edit the layout by clicking and dragging, or to delete the widget.

Event widget

Available for all roles.

An Event Widget is a saved search from the Event Log and shows the accumulated number of search hits from the Live filter.  

Create an Event widget

  1. Go to the Dashboard and click View all.

  2. Search or filter the log to find the event you want to save to the Dashboard.
  3. Click the Views menu (hamburger icon) in the top right corner and select Save as view.
  4. Name the widget and click Save.
