Filter candidates (Classic marking)

  • Updated

In Classic Marking, you can use the filter feature to quickly focus on the questions and candidates that are most relevant to your work. This helps you hide irrelevant information, such as questions already answered correctly, or candidates assigned to another Grader.

This article shows you how to use the filter on the candidate list and on the candidate level to customize your grading view.

How to use filters

  1. When you are in the Classic marking tool, Start grading by clicking Grade your candidates.
  2. Here you can use the filter to hide questions or candidates you do not want to see in your grading process.
  3. Use the filter by clicking Filters in the upper right corner.

Filter the candidate list

When you are in the candidate list, there is only one filter available - candidate status.

Filter on the candidate level

More filter options are available on the candidate level. To access them, click on a candidate in the list.

You can choose among the following filters:

  • Candidate status
  • Mark scheme
  • Results
  • Question number / name
  • Question type

The filter menu is available on the candidate page and question page.

Your filter settings will continue to apply even if you navigate between different candidates. You can select Reset all to reset the filtering, or change the filter by clicking Filters.

Examples use cases

  • See only candidates who have not yet received the results on the test by choosing Mark scheme and Not marked.
  • See only wrong, or partly wrong, answered questions by choosing Result and Wrong/Partly wrong.
  • See only selected questions by choosing Question number and then mark all the questions you want to see.
