This article is for institutions that are either existing Inspera customers or are considering implementing Inspera.
If you are a candidate, please refer to your institution’s own guidance on taking an assessment using the Inspera platform. Your institution may impose different requirements to our minimum specification.
The minimum system requirements depend on which configuration of Inspera you are using:
- Inspera Assessment (open book, no lockdown or proctoring)
- Inspera Assessment with Inspera Integrity Browser (Lockdown with or without proctoring)
- Inspera Assessment or an LMS with Inspera Recorded, Record & Review and Live Proctoring
- Inspera Assessment with Safe Exam Browser (Lockdown using SEB)
Each of these has a separate dedicated article. This article coveres Inspera Assessment with Inspera Integrity Browser, with or without proctoring.
Lockdown with or without proctoring (Inspera Proctoring)
Inspera Assessment can be combined with Inspera Integrity Browser (IIB), an in-house application that provides a lockdown environment to prevent candidates from accessing anything else on the computer for the duration of their assessment. Additionally, Inspera Proctoring can be used in record & review.
Inspera Integrity Browser is only available for Windows and macOS.
