Manage tests within an Assessment Path

After setting up your Assessment Path in Inspera Assessment, the next crucial step is managing the individual tests that will be part of it.

This article explains how to create new tests directly within an Assessment Path, how to add existing tests, and clarifies the management options and columns available for tests within your path.

Test management

Each individual test within an Assessment Path has its own start and end times. Remember, these times must fall within the overall start and end times of the Assessment Path itself. This means a test can only be accessed during its specific timeframe within the larger timeframe of the Assessment Path, and they will not become available at the start time of the Assessment Path.

  • ARTH: Art History 101, is a course running from December 1st, 10:00 AM to May 31st, 2023 12:00 PM. The Assessment path contains the following tests:

    • Prehistoric Art: January 2nd, 10:00 AM to 23:45 PM
    • Medieval Art: February 1st, 10:00 AM to 23:45 PM
    • Renaissance Art: March 1st, 10:00 AM to 23:45 PM
    • Baroque Art: April 3rd, 10:00 AM to 23:45 PM

Add existing test or create a new test within Assesment Path

Within Manage tests in the Assessment Path setup, you can Create new test or Add tests. A test can be removed from one Assessment Path and subsequently added to a new Assessment Path if needed.

  1. If you create a test directly within the Assessment Path, it will act as a placeholder. It will include only the test name, start/end date, and start/end time.
    1. Click Create new test within the Manage tests section.
    2. Fill in the following required fields:
      • Name
      • Start date/time
      • End date/time
    3. Note that the start and end time of the test must be within the start and end time of the overall Assessment Path.
    4. Click Create test.
    5. To view your test options, you can click More under options for that test.
  2. You can also include tests that you have already created in Inspera Assessment into your Assessment Path. Only those tests whose start and end times fall within the overall start and end times of the Assessment Path will appear for selection.
    1. To add an existing test, click Add tests within the Manage tests section.
    2. Select one or multiple tests by checking their title checkboxes.
    3. Click Add tests to include them in the Assessment Path.

Note: A test can only be connected to one Assessment Path at a time.

    4. To view your test options, under options, click More
