This is available for Planners.
Predefined feedback in Inspera Assessment allows Authors to define specific feedback for questions or individual alternatives when authoring an assessment. This feature provides immediate or post-test insights to candidates.
This article provides an overview of predefined feedback, details its availability and key characteristics, and explains the settings Planners can configure to control how candidates receive this feedback.
This feature requires activation. Please contact the Service Desk to activate it for your Inspera Assessment tenancy.
Enable Predefined feedback
Feedback for questions and alternatives can be defined by Authors when they are creating or editing questions. However, Planners must enable this feature for candidates to see their feedback. If a Planner selects to enable this feature in the After test settings, candidates will see the feedback after the test is closed. If instant post-delivery access is enabled, candidates will see the feedback immediately upon submission.
Important Note: Predefined feedback cannot be changed after the test is activated. If there are any issues with a question after activation, we suggest using the Grading tool's annotation feature to provide feedback to candidates.
Settings for Predefined feedback
Planners control the display of predefined feedback to candidates through settings in the Deliver module.
- Go to the Deliver module and select the correct test.
-
In the test setup find the options for feedback under both After test > Post-submission review and After test > Feedback.
- Under Post-submission review you can allow candidates to see post-submission review.
- Remember, if Instant post delivery access is enabled in the test settings, the feedback will be shown to candidates immediately after submission.
- Under Feedback the options becomes available if the question set contains:
- Feedback on one or more questions.
- Feedback for one or more of its alternatives.
- Feedback on response outcomes.
- Under Post-submission review you can allow candidates to see post-submission review.
