Manage test Contributors and remove roles

After adding contributors to a test in Inspera Assessment, Planners can effectively manage the contributor list, track their status, and adjust their roles or remove them entirely.

This article explains how to manage existing test contributors and details the process for removing users or specific roles, outlining the implications of such actions.

Manage Contributors

  1. Go to the Deliver module.
  2. Navigate to the test setup by selecting or creating a new test.
  3. Click on the Contributors dropdown menu on the top right of the page.
  4. Select Manage

A new window will appear. This section provides a comprehensive overview of all contributors assigned to a test and their roles within that specific test context. If Graders on a test are members of committees, the committee they belong to will also be listed here.

Contributor status

The status of each contributor will be listed, providing insight into their involvement in the grading process:

  • Contributor: This is the default status for everyone except the test owner and Graders.
  • Graders: Graders initially start with Contributor status, but their status will be updated as they complete their grading steps. Other statuses for a Grader include Approved own grades and Completed.

How to remove users or roles

You can remove a user as a contributor to a test, or remove specific roles from them.

  1. Click on the cogwheel icon next to the contributor's name in the list.

  2. From the options that appear, select either Remove user (as contributor) or Remove role.

Important notes on removing users

  • For Owners of the test: If you created the test, you cannot remove yourself as a contributor, as you are designated as the owner of that test.
  • Implications of Removing a Grader: If you remove a Grader from the contributor list, that Grader will immediately lose access to the test, their candidate submissions, and all work they have done on the test. This includes any private notes, marks, grades, comments, and explanations they have made.

However, the Grader can be re-added (and reassigned to the same committee, if applicable) to regain access to the test and their previous work on candidate submissions.
