Candidate experience in Assessment Paths

The candidate experience settings for an Assessment Path in Inspera Assessment allow you to customize how candidates view and interact with their assessments on their dashboard.

This article explains how candidates see tests, details options for Assessment Path visibility and candidate dashboard views, covers enabling final results, and outlines how to manage test order on the candidate dashboard.

Candidate experience

A candidate can see a test on their dashboard once they are added to that specific test. How they see that test (as part of an Assessment Path or as a regular test) depends on how the Assessment Path is configured.

  • If a candidate is added to a test but not the Assessment Path, they will see the test as a regular test, regardless of the candidate's view setting for the Assessment Path.
  • If they are on both the test and the Assessment Path, they will see that test as either a single or grouped Assessment Path, depending on that setting.
  • Assessment path: To show the Assessment path for candidates, toggle Enabled/Disabled.
  • Candidate view: Choose how the candidate views the Candidate dashboard.
    • Single tests: Individual tests are displayed in the Candidate dashboard and are available to view once the test is active.
    • Grouped: All tests that the candidate is assigned to in the Assessment path are displayed in the Candidate dashboard.

Enable final results

You can select one or both options for presenting final results to candidates on their dashboard:

  • Show final grade to candidate: This option displays only the final grade for the overall Assessment Path to candidates. If the main evaluation type is set to Points, then Final grade will not be available.
  • Show total points to candidate: This option displays only the total points earned by a candidate on the Assessment Path as a whole.
  • Explanation of grade: To enable explanations within the Candidate dashboard, toggle this option between Enabled and Disabled. You can choose the following options:
    • Request explanations of all grades
    • Allow graders to send explanations directly to candidates
    • Set deadline for explanation

Test order on Candidate dashboard

You can define the order in which tests are displayed to candidates on their dashboard.

  1. To reorder assessments for candidates, click Reorder Tests to enable drag and drop functionality.
  2. Drag and drop the test to change its order, or use the arrows to the right of the Status column to move it.
  3. Click Save.

Once you have completed all configurations, click Activate path for the Assessment Path.
