After configuring the overall grading for your Assessment Path, you can define the specific workflow for grading and collaboration. The Grading workflow tab helps you manage how the grading process is completed within your Assessment Path. This tab will appear greyed out if Grading on parent is disabled in the Grading tab.
This article explains the different grading workflow options available, details collaboration settings for setting marks and grades, and clarifies how confirmation of marks is handled.
Grading workflow
You can choose between the following options for completing the grading process:
- Confirm all candidates at once: This is the default option. It allows graders to confirm the grades for all candidates in a batch.
- Confirm each candidate individually: This option requires graders to confirm the grade for each candidate one by one.
Collaboration settings
Collaboration settings define the process for setting marks and grades, as well as the confirmation of those marks and grades, especially when multiple graders are involved.
Setting marks and grades
You can choose between two main options for setting marks and grades:
- Private marking and results alignment: This workflow requires all graders in the committee to confirm the grade for each candidate.
- Shared marking: This workflow means only one Grader in the committee is required to confirm the grade per candidate.
Confirmation of marks and grades
The confirmation process varies based on your chosen setting for Setting marks and grades:
- All graders must confirm: This setting requires all Graders to confirm Final grades.
- One grader can confirm: This setting allow one Grader to confirm Final grades on behalf of all Graders.
