The Drawing tool can be enabled on most question types to allow Candidates to express their answers visually with a simple, easy-to-use freehand drawing tool. This give increased flexibility when authoring assessment content, and can allow running additional assessments digitally. You can test the candidate experience of the Drawing tool here.
This tool will eventually replace the existing drawing tool, which is only available on Essay questions.
This feature requires activation. Please contact the Service Desk to activate it for your Inspera Assessment tenancy.

In the right panel, expand and enable Drawing tool option:
Familiarise yourself with Accessibility considerations here.
Preview the question to verify what it will look like to the Candidates.
With the new drawing tool enabled, consider if the existing drawing tool should be disabled on Essay questions. Contact the Planner on the test so they can Disable sketches in essay questions.
Note that the drawing is a supplement to the actual question answer, and a question containing a drawing only will not be registered as answered. The drawing will still be available for Graders. Drawings associated with automatically marked question types does not count into the automatic mark and should be reviewed manually. It can for example be used to show additional information or calculations leading to the final answer, and might lead to you override the automatic mark.
Stylus: the candidates can use a stylus to more easily draw with full precision. We do recommend testing with the specific stylus type prior to the assessment, particularly If the test is to be conducted in lockdown environment.
