Overview
Inspera Originality categorizes flagged sentences based on the detected degree of similarity. These classifications assist users in understanding why a sentence has been flagged and provide detailed insight into the similarity between content in the submitted document and matched sources.
To support users in distinguishing between different levels of similarity, Inspera Originality employs a color-coded highlighting system.
1. Exact Match (Red Highlight)
Sentences identified as exact matches are highlighted in red and are nearly identical to matching sources.
2. Possibly Altered Text (Blue Highlight)
Sentences identified as similar but slightly altered are highlighted in blue and may include reworded or paraphrased content.
3. Contextual Similarity (Yellow Highlight)
Sentences that are marked for contextual similarity are highlighted in yellow and reveal a considerable level of similarity in meaning or structure to the sources they correspond to.
4. Cited Text (Green Highlight)
Sentences marked in green signify that they are properly cited within the document. You have the option to turn off these highlights if you prefer a more unobstructed view of your text.
5. Excluded Match (Red Highlight)
Sentences identified as matches but excluded from the final similarity score are highlighted in red. These might include references, bibliographies, or properly excluded sections.
