Administrator - Add New Students

Introduction 

Administrators can create and add new subjects in Inspera Originality via the Add Units menu. students can be added individually by entering the details manually or in bulk by uploading an Excel file containing the required student data.

Add Students Manually

Navigate to Add Units > Students > Manual User Registration

To add new students manually, administrators are required to provide the necessary information and then click the Confirm button to complete the process.

Field Description
Full Name The name of the new student.
Institution The corresponding institution for the new student.
Department The corresponding department for the new student. 
Student ID Optional A unique identifier for the new student
Email The corresponding email for the new student.

Add Students in Bulk 

Navigate to Add Units > Subjects > Bulk User Registration

To add multiple new students in bulk, administrators must upload a single Excel file containing the necessary information for all new students. A downloadable template for the Excel file is available in the user interface to simplify the process.

Required Excel File Information

The required information for each student in the Excel file includes:

Field Description
First Name The first name of the new student.
Last Name The last name of the new student.
Unique Identifier A unique identifier for the new student.
Email The corresponding email for the new student. 

Once the Excel file is uploaded the administrator must select the corresponding institution and department for the new students. Lastly, they can review and manage all new student entries for possible issues before finalizing the bulk registration.
