LTI Deeplinking support

What is LTI Deeplinking?

Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) Deep Linking is an industry‑standard workflow (part of the IMS Global LTI 1.3 specification) that lets you browse, configure, and insert Inspera resources—such as Test Templates, assessment paths —directly from within your LMS. Instead of keying in custom paramters manually, Deep Linking opens an Inspera picker inside the LMS and automatically returns a secure, signed launch link to the selected resource.

Which LMS do we support?

We support all LMS that supports Deeplinking. However, there are a few prerequisites for this feature to work smoothly.

Prerequisistes:

  1. For Assessment Path to work seamlessly, AGS (Assignment and Grade service) must be enable by the LMS to receive grade pass back from Inspera
  2. Popups must be allowed on the LMS and the users browser, because the Deeplinking launch happens in a popup on the LMS user interface.
  3. We have tried and tested the feature on Moodle and Instructure Canvas LMS

Users must click on 'Create Link' after entering all mandatory input fields.

Upon clicking 'Create Link', you will see a resource link added on your LMS.

  4. Assessment Path offers 2 options for academics to create:

    1. Parent Assessment Path - Enables creating a parent, from which child tests can be created via LTI
    2. Child Test to an existing Assessment path - Create child tests to an existing parent assessment path. Use this method pass back grades at a child test level to the LMS.
