On-Demand Originality Check

  • Updated

The enhanced integration between Inspera Assessment and Inspera Originality allows Assessment users, namely Planners, Graders, and Authors, to perform on-demand originality checks directly from Inspera Assessment. This functionally permits users to upload documents for originality checking and access their originality reports once processed.

1. Usage Workflow

Planners, Graders, and Authors share the same workflow for using the functionality, hence we’ll address them simultaneously.

Once logged into Inspera Assessment, users can navigate to the Inspera Originality tab in the top bar navigation.

This will bring uses to a new page specifically designed to upload documents for originality checking. The page features an intuitive layout and user-friendly design, including an upload section as well as a table listing uploads and showing their status.

1.1 Upload Section

Users can click to upload or drag and drop document files for originality checking. Once the files are uploaded, a range of originality-checking features will become available for configuration.

The configuration options available to users depend on whether they have been enabled by the Inspera Originality administrator at the institutional level.

1.2 Status Table

Below the upload section, users can view a status table for uploaded documents. Uploads are arranged in rows, with each one displaying information about the respective upload, including:

  • Title – The name of the uploaded document.

  • Upload Time – The timestamp indicates when the document was uploaded.

  • Originality Index – The risk level assigned to the document based on the originality check.

  • Originality Reports – A link to view the Originality Report for the uploaded document.

When a document is uploaded, it will show as “Processing” in the status table. Users must refresh the table results to be able to view the status of newly uploaded documents
