Manipulations Analysis (In-Depth View)
The In-Depth View of the Manipulations Analysis provides the total count of manipulation flags detected in the submitted document. Each instance is categorized by manipulation technique, with each technique featured in their own expandable card. Detailed insights and interactive capabilities are available for each manipulation instance.
1. Character Replacement
Instances of character replacement manipulations are organized and listed in an expandable card. Each instance is clickable and redirects the user to the exact location of the manipulation in the document when clicked.
The Toggle Characters button allows users to exclude or include detected character replacements as needed.
- Users can either exclude all character replacement instances at once or select individual characters to exclude.
- Excluded character replacements are listed separately and can be re-included either all at once or individually, based on the user’s needs.
2. Hidden Text
Instances of Hidden Text manipulations are organized and listed in an expandable card. Each instance is clickable and redirects the user to the exact location of the manipulation in the document when clicked.
Sentences flagged for Hidden Text are highlighted in yellow and, when clicked, show details such as the exact location of hidden text or whitespace.
- Users can exclude a sentence flagged for hidden text by clicking the x button for the respective instance on the expandable card, or by clicking the highlighted sentence and then Exclude Matching Sentence
- To reinclude it, click the + button for the respective instance on the expandable card, or click the greyed-out sentence and then Include Matching Sentence
2. Images in Place of Text
Instances of images used to replace text are organized and listed in an expandable card. Each instance is clickable and redirects the user to the exact location of the manipulation in the document when clicked.
Images inserted among paragraphs and disguised as regular text are highlighted in red, whereas regular images used for illustrative purposes are highlighted in green.
