Similarity Analysis (Summary)

Introduction

The Originality Report Summary View is the initial screen displayed when an Originality Report is opened. It provides a high-level overview of the results from each analysis, allowing users to efficiently identify key findings and determine which areas of the document contain critical issues.

1. Similarity Analysis (Summary View)

The Summary View for the Similarity Analysis provides an overview of both Original and Translated Language Similarity.

1.1 Original Language Similarity 

In the Summary View for the Original Language Similarity analysis, users can access key information that provides an overview of how the document compares to other sources in its original language.

  • The Original Language refers to the language in which the document was initially written, such as English.
  • The Matching Sources count shows how many sources were identified as similar to the original content.
  • The Top Sources Dropdown highlights the most relevant sources contributing to this similarity, offering a quick way to review key matches.

Users can further refine their view using filters available in the dropdown, which allow sorting by matching sources, sources found within the document, sources from the internet, removed sources, and those with less than 1% similarity.

These features help users better understand the nature and origin of content similarities in a concise and accessible format.

1.2 Translated Language Similarity 

In the Summary View for the Translated Language Similarity analysis, users can access key information that provides an overview of how the document compares to other sources in its original language.

  • The Translated Language indicates which languages have been selected for analysis, up to a maximum of three.
  • The Matching Sources count reflects the number of matching sources across all languages selected for the analysis that have been identified as similar to the document content.
  • The Top Sources Dropdown displays the most relevant sources contributing to the Translated Language Similarity, offering a quick overview of key matches.

Users can further refine their view using filters available in the top sources dropdown, which allow sorting by matching sources, sources found within the document, sources from the internet, removed sources, and those with less than 1% similarity.
