Administrator - Add New Units

Introduction

Note: This functionality is available to Administrator users in both the standalone version of Inspera Originality and across all LMS LTI 1.3 integrations.

The Add Units menu streamlines onboarding by enabling administrators to add new subjects, educators, or students in bulk, which saves time and reduces manual entry for large groups.

However, if you only need to add a single unit, the platform still provides the flexibility to do so manually, ensuring that both individual and bulk additions are equally efficient.

This contrast allows administrators to choose the best method for their needs, whether they're onboarding a few or many users at once.

Correct Excel File Configuration

To ensure the bulk upload of Educators and Subjects functions correctly, the respective Excel files must be properly configured. Please review the following information before proceeding.

Correct Excel File Configuration - Subject Bulk Upload

  1. If the Subject bulk upload occurs before the Educator bulk upload, ensure the Educator ID column in the Excel file remains empty.

  2. If the Subject bulk upload occurs after the Educator bulk upload, populate the Educator ID column with the respective Educator IDs, separated by commas if multiple educators are assigned to a subject, or manually select educators for each assignment during the Manage Data step.
