The Requests menu, conveniently split between Document Access Requests and Student Requests, allows educators to handle external requests from other institutions for access to submissions and manage submission related student requests.
1. Document Access Requests
Document access requests originate from other institutions using Inspera Originality that have been granted access to your institution’s internal repository of archived submissions.
When a document from your repository appears as a matching source in another institution’s originality report, they may access it. However, if content access is set to Restricted, they must submit a request to view the document. This request is logged and displayed on this page.
Each row provides general information about the corresponding document access request, including:
The requester's name
The institution from which the request originated
The title of the document requested
The date the request was submitted
Each row includes a "View Logs" button that provides additional details about the request. The "Status" column indicates whether access to the requested document was approved or revoked by the administrator.
2. Student Requests
In the Requests menu, educators can manage request received by students regarding assignment submissions.
- Educators can filter student requests by type (resubmission, resubmission after deadline, submission after deadline)
- Educators can filter student requests by start and end date
- Educators can filter student requests by status (unchecked, approved, disapproved)
If the educator has enabled the Late Submission and Resubmission options during assignment creation, students can make late submission and resubmission request by default. On the contrary, they will need to make a request.
Student requests are listed in rows, each displaying details about the corresponding request. Each request row clearly indicates the status (Approved/Rejected).
- Clicking Read Request will display the request
