Introduction
The Requests menu, conveniently split between Document Access Requests and Late Submission Requests, allows educators to handle external requests from other institutions for access to submissions and manage student requests for late submissions.
Document Access Request
Note: The ability to make and receive document access requests depends on the configuration set by the institution administrator, which can be set to closed, restricted, or open.
The Content Access feature in Inspera Originality permits institutions to engage in cross-institutional sharing of internal repositories of archived submissions.
An educator from Institution A can submit a request to access a document at Institution B. This request is received by the educator at Institution B and appears on the Document Access Requests page within the Requests menu. The educator at Institution B has the ability to either approve or revoke access to the document
Requests for document access are organized in rows, with each one displaying details about the request, including:
Field | Description |
---|---|
Requester name | e.g. Professor John Doe |
Institution name | e.g. Institution A |
Document title | The name of the document for which the access request was made. |
Request date | The date when the document access request was made. |
Audit log | A log of relevant details about the document access request. |
Status | The status of the request, either approved or revoked. |
Late Submission Request
Note: If the educator has enabled the Late Submission and Resubmission options during assignment creation, students can make late submissons and resubmission by default. On the contrary, they will need to make a request.
In the Requests menu, educators can manage student requests on the Late Submission Requests page. They can filter by status (approved, disapproved, unchecked), type (e.g., late submission, resubmission), or date.
Late submission requests are organized in rows, with each row displaying details about the respective request, including;

---|---|
Student | The name of the student who made the request. |
Subject | The corresponding subject. |
Assignment | The corresponding assignment. |
Request | The written request by the student. |
Accept/Reject | Buttons to accept or reject the student's request. |
