Introduction
Inspera Originality now supports the LTI 1.3 Platform Notification Service (PNS) for the integration with D2L Brightspace LMS. The Platform Notification Service (PNS) in LTI 1.3 facilitates a smooth integration between a Learning Management System (LMS), like D2L Brightspace, and external tools, such as Inspera Originality. It serves as a bridge for communication, enabling external tools to respond to events that occur in the LMS. In this case, PNS specifically handles Course Copy events, which happen when the content of a course is duplicated within the LMS.
Enablement Procedure
1. Enabling Platform Notification Service
Navigate to "Extensibility Management" > "LTI Advantage" and select Inspera Originality.
Once inside the tools edit page, scroll down to the "Extensions" section and check the "Platform Notification Service" checkbox.
2. Enabling Platform Notification Service & Context Copy Notice
Navigate to "External Learning Tools" from the main menu.
Select Inspera Originality from the list of integrated external tools.
Check the "Platform Notification Service" & "Context Copy Notice" checkboxes.
