Administrator - Manage Users

Introduction

The User Management menu allows administrators to edit users in the system. The menu provides two distinct views for efficiently navigating and managing existing educators and students.

1. Administrator - Managing Educators

The Educators page under User Management enables administrators to view, manage, and edit all educator accounts in the system. The following capabilities are available.

  • Administrators can search for educators by institution, department, or name for easier navigation.
  • The Educators page can be exported as Excel, PDF, or CSV. 

Educators are organized in rows, with each one displaying details about the respective educator, including: 

Educator Details
Name The educator’s full name
Email The educator’s email address
Institution The educator's corresponding institution
Department The educator’s corresponding department
Subjects The number of subjects assigned to the educator
Status The educator's status, either active or inactive
Edit Button

Each educator row includes an edit button, allowing administrators to edit educator details. 

  • Can edit educator's name
  • Can edit educator's email
  • Can change the educator's institution
  • Can change the educator's department
  • Can remove or add additional subjects
  • Can change the educator's status (active/inactive)
  • Can change the educator's role to a student
Important
You can change an educator's role to a student, but you cannot assign them the administrator role.

2. Administrator - Managing Students

The Students page under User Management enables administrators to view, manage, and edit all student accounts in the system. They can filter students by institution, department, or name, and export the page as an Excel, PDF, or CSV file.

Students are organized in rows, with each one displaying details about the respective student, including: 

Student Details
Name The student's full name
Email The student’s email address
Institution The student's corresponding institution
Department The student's corresponding department
Status The student's status, either active or inactive
Edit Button

Each student row includes an edit button, allowing administrators to edit student details. 

  • Can edit the student's name
  • Can edit the student's email address
  • Can edit the student's ID
  • Can edit the student's institution
  • Can edit the student's department
  • Can edit the student's status (active/inactive)
  • Can edit the student's role
Important
You can change a student's role to an educator, but you cannot assign them the administrator role.
