Tenant configuration dashboard

  • Updated

This is available for Tenant administrator.

The Tenant Configuration Dashboard is an administrator view that provides a curated overview of your institution's settings. This dashboard improves transparency and helps Administrators easily view their configurations, including descriptions, default values, and tenant-specific values.

This article details the Dashboard content and scope and introduces all the functions of the dashboard, including how to use the search and filter options.

Dashboard overview and access

The Dashboard displays a read-only list of available configurations. The content focuses on features and adjustments, and it will be updated regularly by Inspera to include future settings.

  • List Limitations: Keep in mind that the list is not a complete list of every setting in Inspera Assessment. Some configurations cannot be included due to technical reasons.
  • Current Development: Some settings are not yet included because they require more work before they are ready to be included. This applies particular to IIB settings, but also other areas.
  • Access to the dashboard: Only users with the Tenant administrator role will be able to access the Dashboard. A user administrator can assign this role to any user requiring access.
The role cannot be assigned when creating/updating users via our APIs. This capability will be added later.

How to use the dashboard

The dashboard is located in the cogwheel menu at the top right of the header.

  • In the list you will find the following columns:

    • Name
    • Value (this refers to the specific value set for this tenant)
    • Default value
    • Categories
    • Documentation link

  • For easier navigation you can narrow down the content of the list by using the search and filter options: Text search, Value filter, and Category filter. The three options can also be combined.

Click on "Clear all filters" to clear the search, and easily go back to the full list.

    Text search

At the top of the page there is a search field. Searching here will yield results from both name and description.

    Value filter

    • All: Default selection, shows all settings regardless of set value.
    • Custom value: Shows all settings that are different from the default value
    • Default value: Shows all settings that are identical to the default value

    Category filter

Click on any of these to filter configurations that contain the selected category. If you filter on both Author and Grade, you will see all configurations that have either one of the labels, and those who have both.

Example: Select Custom value and Candidate to see all configurations that don't have the default value, and have the Candidate category.

  • You can download all configurations from this page as an Excel file. The download will include all available configurations, regardless of any search or filters applied. The downloaded Excel file contains the same columns as the list.
  • Click on the rows to get a more focused view of each configuration, including a description. The description will in most cases be identical to the name, but some settings have additional information on requirements and other available options.
