This functionality is available for Planners and Chief Invigilators.
Regardless of the proctoring type used (Recorded, Record & Review, or Live Proctoring), you can access and view the session recordings after the test is completed. Follow these steps to locate and review the recordings:
1. View the ProView recording
- Navigate to the test in the Monitor section of the platform
- Add the column labelled ProView Index & Recording to your view
- For any submitted tests you will see the ProView Index in the column: High, Medium or Low ('Rating' section later in this article for a description of what these ratings mean)
Note: For Live Proctoring, the proctor is able to manually update the ProView rating if they do not think the AI-generated index accurately reflects the events from the proctored session. This may mean the ProView Index is subject to change for a few hours post-submission of the test.
2. Locate the Recording
-
- Navigate to the test in the Monitor section of the platform
- Add the column labelled ProView Index & Recording to your view
- For candidates who have submitted their proctored test, a View Session link will appear in the ProView Index & Recording column.
- Click the View Session link, and the session viewer will open in a new tab.
- No additional login is required; however, you must have the Planner or Chief Invigilator user role to see this column and access the recording link
3. View the Recording
The session viewer offers all the tools necessary to assess the integrity of the proctored session.

Rating:
-
ProView Index: The ProView index, shown in the top right corner of the video recording, gives an at-a-glance indication of the session's integrity. Detailed analysis of the rating calculation is available under the 'Summary' section.
- The rating index is determined by the severity and frequency of flags triggered during the session. Critical flags can significantly lower the rating with just one or two occurrences, while multiple low-severity flags may have a lesser impact. Read 'Overview of proctoring flags' for more details.
-
ProView Index Values:
- High: Indicates that a high level of integrity was maintained, with no flags of concern.
- Medium: Some flags raised moderate concerns.
- Low: Indicates significant integrity concerns, warranting further review.
Candidate and Session Details:
- Candidate Verification: Displays a summary of the candidate's details and the ID provided, enabling you to verify the session's authenticity.
Permanent users: The candidate’s full name and email will be display
SSO or One-Time Users: Only the candidate’s userID will be displayed within the ‘Email’ field. The name will display as ‘Anonymous User’.
- Room Scan: If Room Scan was enabled for the test, the video is available for review under the 'Approvals' section.
Chat Summary (Live Proctoring Only):
- Proctor-Candidate Communication: Displays any messenger chat between the proctor and the candidate, along with recordings of any audio calls that occurred during the session.
Proctor's Integrity Report:
If you have chosen Record & Review or Live Proctoring as the proctoring type, the proctor's integrity report will be emailed directly to your institution. If you would like to see an example of this report, reach out to your account manager.
