How to conduct a Room Scan

This article provides additional instructions for recording a Room Scan of your test environment. This is a required step during the proctoring onboarding process.

 Room scan instructions

To ensure a proper test environment, follow these two steps:

  1. Perform the table, floor, and ceiling check: Begin by checking the table, floor, and ceiling as indicated by the arrows in the instructions.
  2. Complete a 360° room check: Perform a complete 360-degree scan of the room to ensure the environment is clear.

Important guidelines

  • Watch the Demo Video: Review the demo video to understand the procedure for the room scan.
  • Quiet Environment: Take your test in a quiet environment. Do not use earphones during the test.
  • Time Limit: You have 1 minute to record the room scan. You will see a countdown timer once you start the recording.
  • Retake: If you would like another attempt at taking the recording, simply end the recording and then click ‘Retake.
