Worked examples: How to set the test time for Live Proctoring

Below you will find detailed examples for how to set the time for a Live Proctoring test. Please consult this document after initially reading the article: ‘How to create a test with proctoring’, particularly section 5: ‘Set the time for the test’.

Example 1:

The customer enters the following timings in Inspera Assessment:

  • Start Time: 10:00 AM
  • Test Duration: 2 hours (120 minutes)

Breakdown:

  • Onboarding Begins: 10:00 AM
  • Test Content Available: 10:30 AM (30 minutes after the onboarding start time)
  • Test End Time: 12:30 PM (10:00 AM + 30 minutes onboarding + 2 hours test duration)

Timeline:

  • 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM: Candidate completes onboarding, waits in the waiting room. Proctor processes ID checks.
  • 10:30 AM: Candidates access test content and start the test.
  • 12:30 PM: Test ends.

 

Example 2:

The customer enters the following timings in the system:

  • Start Time: 1:00 PM
  • Test Duration: 1 hour (60 minutes)

Breakdown:

  • Onboarding Begins: 1:00 PM
  • Test Content Available: 1:30 PM (30 minutes after the onboarding start time)
  • Test End Time: 2:30 PM (1:00 PM + 30 minutes onboarding + 1 hour test duration)

Timeline:

  • 1:00 PM - 1:30 PM: Candidate completes onboarding, waits in the waiting room. Proctor processes ID checks.
  • 1:30 PM: Candidates access test content and start the test.
  • 2:30 PM: Test ends.
