Contextual Similarity Analysis

Understanding Contextual Similarity Analysis

Context Similarity is a feature designed to enhance the originality-checking process by offering broader coverage against potential academic integrity issues. In addition to traditional similarity checking, which compares the commonalities between two sentences, contextual similarity delves into the relationship between the contexts of those sentences.

Even if the flagged sentence displays a low sentence similarity percentage to the matching source sentence, the overall contextual similarity between the two sentences can still be identified. Furthermore, users gain insights into proximity, which indicates the average closeness of similar words between the sentences.
