Understanding Educator Uploads Settings

In Inspera Originality, educators can upload documents for originality checking. This article outlines the settings available on the upload page for educators, guiding how to make an upload and configure the relevant options.

The upload page for educators is organized into three main sections:

  • Submission Overview
  • Analysis Settings
  • Detailed Analysis Settings - The Detailed Analysis Settings section can be expanded to reveal additional, more specific options.
Submission Overview

The Submission Overview settings section comprises two fields. The first field is for entering the name and surname, while the second field automatically pre-fills with the current date of the submission.

Analysis Settings

In Analysis settings, users can activate the translation similarity, contextual similarity, and AI authorship analyses.

  • For translation similarity, users can specify up to three languages, allowing Inspera Originality to check the upload for translation similarities in those languages.

Detailed Analysis Settings

The Detailed Analysis Settings section offers educators a range of advanced customization options:

  • Enable Thresholds: Specify the percentage threshold for contextual similarity
  • Include URLs: Specify source URLs to include in the originality-checking process.
  • Exclude URLs: Specify source URLs to exclude from the originality-checking process.
  • Archiving: Choose to archive the upload in the internal submission repository
  • Third-Party Libraries: Include third-party libraries in the originality check
  • Citation Style: Select the preferred citation style for the document
