What is the Originality Index?

Understanding the Originality Index

The Originality Index is a classification system that evaluates a document through multiple originality checks once submitted. The index considers the level of similarity for both original and translated language similarity and any result from the AI authorship analysis if the feature is activated.

The Originality Index contains three levels of originality:

  • High risk
  • Medium risk
  • Low risk

High risk indicates significant originality issues, displaying high similarity to matching sources and containing AI-generated content and manipulations.

Medium risk indicates that the document contains moderate originality issues in the document, including content potentially generated by AI and manipulations.

Low risk indicates that the document does not contain significant originality issues and is likely original.
