Grading in Assessment Path

  • Updated

This is available for Graders.

Graders play a crucial role in evaluating candidate performance within an Assessment Path in Inspera Assessment.

This article guides Graders through their specific experience when working on an Assessment Path, covering the overview of candidate results, the process for marking and confirming grades, and their role in explanations of grades.

Before grading on Assessment Path

Before grading can officially begin on the Assessment Path level, all individual tests contained within that path must first be graded. Once all individual tests are graded, the Assessment Path functionality supports Graders in understanding the overall results.

Overview of candidates and tests

As a Grader working on an Assessment Path, you have specific overviews of candidates and their performance across tests.

  • You'll see columns providing an overview of candidates at the overall Assessment Path level:
    • ID: Candidate ID
    • Title: Assessment Path name
    • Attendance: The total number of assessments the candidate participated in.
    • Final result: The final result on the Assessment Path.
    • Grades: The final grade on the Assessment Path.
    • Points: The total points accumulated from all the individual child tests.
    • Committee: The grading committee the candidate is a part of.

To get an overview of all the individual tests within a candidate's Assessment Path, you can expand the row by clicking Expand.

  • Within the expanded view, you'll see columns providing details for each test within that Assessment Path:
    • ID: Candidate ID
    • Title: Test name
    • Attendance: Displays whether the candidate attended the test.
    • Final result: The result on the individual test.
    • Grades: The grade on the individual test.
    • Points: The total points accumulated on the individual test.
    • Committee: The grading committee the candidate is a part of.

Results: Marking and confirming grades

The right-hand panel displays the Candidate overview for grading.

  1. To select or choose a grade, click the Your grade dropdown. (In Open Beta, grades must be set manually.)
  2. After choosing a grade, proceed to Share and confirm your grades.

Explanations of grades

If explanations have been requested for candidates on the Assessment Path, Graders have a specific role in creating and sending them. Explanations can be edited by all co-graders, and they can be sent to candidates once grading has been confirmed. Explanations are displayed within the Candidate dashboard.
